Radici in comune (2025), PAR & Progetto Radici, Parco Tevere Magliana, Rome IT
For this open-air event at Parco Tevere Magliana, in collaboration with PAR Performance Art Rome, Progetto Radici, and Festa dell’Unità di Roma Municipio XI, I proposed a collective, ephemeral, and sustainable installation.
Inspired by the Balinese custom, I wrapped a cloth around the trunk of a mulberry tree.
I then invited the audience to sit and connect with Mother Earth. After a few minutes, we stood up and collectively breathed into the streamers, imprinting good wishes on the paper as it unfurled through our breath.
I then invited everyone to gently pick up the streamers and place them on the tree.
Once the tree was thus adorned, we paused to thank it before taking our leave.
